Painted Pools

Summer is here and we all know how hot these Chico summer temps can rise. I don’t know about you, but when it hits the 100s all I want to do is have a refreshing drink, read a home design magazine, and lounge out on a pool float. If you are moving to Chico, are looking to buy a new home, are thinking of selling your place, or just want to spruce up your current house, I have something exciting you may have never seen before.

Let me introduce the artist Alex Proba. She is the beautiful mind behind a new trend in pools. It all started when she began paining pools with vibrant abstract shapes in the Palm Springs dessert. Here are some pictures of her work:

I have worked as an advisor for an investor opening an Airbnb in Tulum and recommended he add art to his pool to make it more Instagramable. With this suggestion he has seen an increase in bookings and has more organic advertising through people posting pictures and videos to the various social media sites and tagging his place.
